There are performances that entertain you and there are performances that move you.  Soul music goes beyond that.  Soul music changes you.   For a couple of hours you can forget about the world that you left and become immersed in the world of the musicians. 

Eventually, you go back to your own world, but even that has changed.  Things there just feel better, smell better, taste better.  Soul music stays with you for hours, for days, for years ~ long after the performance is over.  There is part of the performance that is imprinted on your soul ~ forever.
